Mother’s Day Lunch or Afternoon Tea at St Michael’s Manor Hotel – St Albans

A Spring Walk in Your Favourite Herts Park

Cassiobury Park, Verulamium Park, Panshanger, Fairlands Valley… March is when the daffodils start showing off, and a gentle wander with scooters and hot chocolates is always a win.
One of our family favourite local parks is Cedars Park in Cheshunt. It looks absolutely stunning in Spring and offers yummy treats in the cafe, PLUS it has its own mini Zoo – Cedars Nature Centre!

A Garden Centre Date

A couple of our favourite garden centres in Herts are Van Hage & Aylett Nurseries… wander with the family, browse all the beautiful blooms & maybe take home a new plant you promise not to kill! Lots have lovely little cafes on-site too for a cuppa and cake stop.

Creative & At‑Home Treats

The Classic breakfast in Bed

Make sure you’ve got those oven-at-home croissants in the freezer ready for Mother’s Day – breakfast in bed is always a treat!

A DIY Pamper Night

Face masks, candles, fluffy socks, and a good series. Sometimes the best Mother’s Day is the one where you don’t leave the house.

Mother’s Day Craft‑at‑Home

Set up a little crafting station at home – Paint canvases, decorate plant pots, or make “coupons” that you can redeem for cuddles, chores done for you, or just 10 minutes of peace!

Make‑Your‑Own Bouquet Session

Pick up flowers from a local supermarket and create your own arrangement at home. Kids love joining in, and mums get something pretty to keep.

However You Celebrate…

Whether you’re planning a big family day out, a quiet cuppa somewhere pretty, or a creative workshop with your favourite people, Hertfordshire has so many lovely ways to make Mother’s Day feel special this year.

We hope you all have a special day!
